Siobvan M. Nyikos
Siobvan Nyikos is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP®) and an Associate Technical Fellow for Boeing Commercial Airplane (BCA) Cybersecurity Product Development in Seattle, Washington. She lends her expertise to industry as secretary of RTCA SC-216 Aeronautical Systems Security, security focal for RTCA SC-236 Wireless Avionics Intra-Communication System (WAIC), and Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) representative for EASA European Strategic Coordination Platform (ESCP) on Cybersecurity in Aviation. Previously, Siobvan has worked for BCA Cybersecurity Certification, supporting all Boeing commercial airplane models, and Boeing Defense, Space & Security. Before joining Boeing in 2004, she worked as a computer scientist for the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) in China Lake, California. Siobvan grew up in Chicago, Illinois. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Science in Systems Architecting and Engineering from the University of Southern California. Siobvan is a recipient of the 2016 Society of Women Engineers (SWE) Emerging Leader Award.
